About This Cause

Light Project Pro International is an educational charity which runs a wide range of projects for people of all ages. Founded in 2004, Light Project Pro International now runs 14 educational projects in its education centre in Islington. Our projects include employability support for 18-24 year olds and homework and enrichment support for 4-18 year olds. Free Support for Islington Job Seekers Aged 18-24 1-to-1 mentoring Support with CV & cover letters Job searches, applications & interviews Skills building workshops The aim of the 21st Century Workplace Skills programme is to support unemployed 18–24-year-old Islington residents, that are not in education or training, into sustainable paid work. The young person will have access to confidence boosting workshops such as teamwork and leadership, public speaking, problem-solving and conflict management. They will get one to one support throughout their journey from an employability mentor. In addition, they will receive help with creating CVs, covering letters and personal statements, job searching and preparing for interviews. - Homework Club The homework club takes place on Saturdays during term time from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is for children between the ages of 5 and 16. Run by a large team of dedicated volunteers, children can bring in their school homework and receive additional help and support across maths, English, science, history and geography. We also run several fun and imaginative educational activities throughout the year such as poetry classes and arts and crafts and trips. We bring together families and volunteers, originating from 35 countries, to improve the educational opportunities of local communities. We focus particularly on people at risk of being socially marginalised. We aim to promote social inclusion and thus everyone is welcome to take part in our projects.
