Mission Statement
Our horses and ponies provide therapy, achievement and enjoyment to children and young adults with disabilities living in Surrey and the surrounding areas. To provide riding sessions to children as young as four through to young adults with disabilities including Autism, Downs Syndrome, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Dyspraxia and more. To enable our riders to enjoy the experience of riding a horse with well trained coaches and over one hundred volunteers.
About This Cause
We have been carrying out our life-changing activities for over 40 years and take great pride in the quality of instruction our coaches provide, supported by nearly 100 volunteers. Horsley, Bookham and Leatherhead RDA is 100% voluntary funded, through the hard work of our fundraisers and generosity of our supporters. We are based at our state of the art riding centre in Effingham, Surrey. Fundraising and donations are a crucial part of the charity being able to provide over 1200 rides a year as well as covering the care and feeding costs of the ponies, the upkeep of safety equipment for riders, insurance and training costs for our volunteers and group leaders.
