Mission Statement
Our aim is that fewer people die from suicide. We offer a safe place for people in distress or despair to talk through their issues and our hope is that over time, they will find their own way forward.
About This Cause
We are a small charity affiliated to the main Samaritans charity. We fund raise for all our outgoings. We have 120 volunteers, although not all are active at any one time. We operate from our branch which is situated at the side of Shaftesbury Hall, which is a community hub we own. It is run in harmony with the local community and generally raises enough income to cover its costs.
