Mission Statement

Our main focus in purchasing a building of our own is to develop the property as a Church – a home of worship and fellowship. One of the most valuable aspects of our Church would be our mission and ministry within the community. We are devoted to building a greater integrated community of people and creating a sense of belonging. We focus on giving back to the community and providing a safe environment to serve people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures. Through Helping Hands Ministries UK, establishing a safe space for the homeless, elderly, families and the young would be our centre of interest. We aspire to support people in thriving and improving their motivation, health and happiness in life. A few of the services in building a community and strengthening the well-being of local people would include the following: o Food bank for the homeless o Senior citizens fellowship o Mothers and toddlers’ group o Social or leisure opportunities for young people and families o Skill-sharing workshops By forming a bond and building strong foundations with children and families we encounter, we remain passionate in empowering all to fight poverty and overcome the struggles one faces in day-to-day life. Poverty. It is not a definition, but an experience. It is something we see everyday and sometimes turn a blind eye to. Extreme poverty strikes many families each day and it is often the children and youth who are left vulnerable to abuse and exploitation. Through Helping Hands Ministries UK, we strive to build courage in those living in desperate poverty. We believe that the unconditional, unfailing and limitless love of God is the most powerful reality there is. Thus, we endeavour to encourage all those in hopeless circumstances to focus their hope in God, as opposed to uncertainty, instability and fear of the future. In partnership with Compassion UK (www.compassionuk.org), we sponsor many children in regions of Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Guatemala, Uganda and Haiti; giving them life-changing support. This includes food, education, health checks and the care of local churches. As a Christian charity, our vision is to see God glorified through the faith and love we share to those who are left vulnerable; giving them a hope and a future in Christ.

About This Cause

Amazing Grace of God Church (AGOG) initially started as a small prayer group in Slough. By June 2005, our Church was launched at Upton Lea Community Centre. A year later our services started to take place at Hampshire Avenue Methodist Church; conducted in two languages, both English and Tamil. By July 2013, a branch was established in Farnborough; with services taking place at Cove Baptist Church. A circle of strength and love; founded in Christ, joined in love, kept by God. For nearly seventeen years, Christians from different countries and backgrounds have met at Amazing Grace of God Church to praise God, and discover more of Jesus’ love in their lives. Helping Hands Ministries UK is our registered charity (No. 1180867) through which all our missions and ministries take place. We endeavour to restore hope, rebuild faith, and spread the Good News!
