Mission Statement
ELCAN CIC strives to connect East London's communities with their blue spaces, through environmental engagement, waterways clearance events, and sharing water safety skills.
About This Cause
London's waterways are at constant threat from litter, invasive species and dilute pollutants. There are also thousands of people living beside the waterways who have little access to outdoor spaces and watersports. We have created East London Canal Access Network (ELCAN) CIC, with the goal of tackling both these issues by delivering sessions centred around the community and environment. Any income generated from corporate litter-picking events goes towards this community and environmental work.
