About This Cause

The 11th/9th Cambridge Scout Group provides outstanding Scouting for over 150 young people aged 6-18 from Newnham and the surrounding areas in Cambridge. We can be young people’s first taste of adventure, loyal friendship, community awareness and self reliance, the basics of life long skills. We are an active and proud Scout Group, with access to resources extremely hard to obtain outside this organisation. The Scout Group is made up of dedicated volunteers, and has shown 100 year of commitment to the wellbeing development to the children in its care. 11th/9th Cambridge Scouts give children opportunities such as Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Archery, and Caving supervised by adults who are trained to professional standards in those fields, as well as many useful life skills including cooking, map reading, and washing up! We have an ethos of inclusion, of care, and of encouragement. A Scout is a friend to all Scouts. Charity No: 308261
