Mission Statement

SailMaine's mission is to provide affordable access to the water through community sailing and educational programming. Our vision is that sailing is accessible to all people in Maine, including BIPOC communities, as a vehicle for personal growth, a mode of connecting to nature, and a source of community.

About This Cause

SailMaine is a community sailing center on the Portland, Maine waterfront. Along with running free community access programs, we reduce the cost of all our youth programs, including racing, by 40% due to public support.
