About This Cause
Cornerstone Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) is an independent nonprofit organization that was founded in 1913 by local philanthropist, Norma Snow. Our mission is to promote the optimum level of well-being, independence and dignity of those living in the community by providing trusted, compassionate and expert health care. For over 100 years, Cornerstone VNA has been committed to bringing services to people of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay, so that families can stay together at home, even when facing the challenges of aging, surgical recovery, chronic or life-threatening illnesses or end-of-life care. Our expert team provides award-winning care and support through five distinct programs: Home Care, Hospice Care, Palliative Care, Life Care-Private Duty and Community Care. Throughout our programs, Cornerstone VNA provides direct care to more than 4,000 patients each year, traveling over 680,000 miles to care for patients across our service area, which spans nearly 40 communities in Rockingham, Strafford, Belknap and Carroll Counties in New Hampshire and York County in Maine. Cornerstone VNA places great value on transforming the home health care experience and is proud to provide care from birth though end of life. We are committed to the philosophy that the needs of each patient are best served by the thoughtful integration of specialized programs and services delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals. With our deep commitment to providing high quality care, Cornerstone VNA continues to be recognized for excellence, and many of our clinicians have been recognized with professional awards for their outstanding achievements.
