The Grapevine mission is to promote family and community health and well-being through support, education and the sharing of resources. Grapevine programs and services support: - Parents and Family Members as the best teachers of their children; - Children, so they will be healthy and ready to learn, and - Our Community, as a healthy and supportive environment for all.

About This Cause

The Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center, located in Antrim, NH was founded in 1996. It was then that a small group of townspeople got together and helped to form a play-and-learn group for young children and their parents. Families And Communities Together, a small nonprofit organization based in Greenfield, assisted the group in its efforts and successfully applied for a grant from the Health Care Fund Community Grant program to open a family and community resource center. Since its beginning, the Grapevine has served thousands of families across the community. The Grapevine serves the people of Hillsborough County, with a specific focus on residents in the communities of Antrim, Bennington, Francestown, Hancock, Hillsborough and Deering. We are committed to serving all regardless of ability to pay. The Grapevine mission is to promote family and community health and well-being through support, education and the sharing of resources. Grapevine programs and services support: - Parents and Family Members as the best teachers of their children; - Children, so they will be healthy and ready to learn, and - Our Community, as a healthy and supportive environment for all. The Grapevine provides Family and Community Supports in the form of programs, events, trainings, one-to-one support and resources and referral. Our family supports include: - Better Beginnings Parent-Child programs for infants, babies and young children - These facilitated groups meet weekly and offer discussions with other parents and an enrichment programs for children. - Learning Vine Preschool - Parent Cooperative Preschool Program for 3 1/2 to 5 year olds - Before and After School Clubs in partnership with Antrim Recreation Department and Antrim Elementary School for students grads k - 4. - Avenue A Teen & Community Center - Programs for Tweens, Teens and adults - Grandparents Parenting Grandchildren - Support group that meets monthly to share and advocate for the unique needs of grandparents who have taken care of their grandchildren - Dads Group - Offered for fathers with young children We also offer ongoing Workshops, Trainings, Home-based Support, Resource Lending Library and One to One Parent Support. Our Community Supports include: - Information and Referrals - Connecting families and individuals with local resources; food, shelter, clothing, transportation, health care and more - Community Wood Bank - Free emergency firewood for home heating - The People's Service Exchange - Sharing Talents and helping each other - 1 hour = 1 Time Dollar - Strong Living Senior Exercise Group - Local, friendly way for adults 60 years & older to maintain and increase strength, balance and independence - Tax Preparation and Financial Planning The Grapevine also offers access to additional community resources and services including: - Onsite mental health counseling provided by Monadnock Family Services and Riverbend Mental Health - Convenes the local Brown Bag Coalition - a group of active citizens and organizations who meet to collaborate and address ongoing needs of the community - meets the first Tuesday of every month - Created and coordinates the FREE community suppers in the area in cooperation with four local towns - offered on rotating Thursdays. - Hosts outside support groups at Avenue A Teen & Community Center including Alcoholics Anonymous and Al Anon The Grapevine is supported by local towns, businesses, foundations, and individuals and fundraising events. We are committed to serving all regardless of ability to pay. All of our programs are offered for free, by donation or sliding scale basis. -
