Mission Statement

The mission of Autism Involves Me is to empower and support families who are impacted by autism by providing a culture of inclusion and acceptance. Through advocacy, education, and community outreach, we strive to create a world where individuals with autism are celebrated, valued, and included in all aspects of life.

About This Cause

AIM2Help Grant Program- Raising a child with autism has proven to be very costly. The AIM2Help grant program was formed in 2009 in an effort to offset some of the financial burden that a family incurs while also being beneficial to the individual with autism. Through the AIM2Help grant program a family can request a wide range of therapeutic items, therapeutic equipment, services, camp fees or fees for various lessons such as therapeutic horseback riding, swimming, art or music. AIM2Educate Grant Program- Teachers and therapist often pay out of pocket for classroom resources and/or equipment. Our AIM2Educate grant program was formed in 2015 with a goal of helping to support these teachers and therapists as they work with children with special needs. Teachers and therapists can apply for therapeutic equipment, sensory equipment, educational tools, manipulatives, or continuing education courses. AIM2Gather- Being affected by autism can often cause families to become disconnected from others. The cause of this can be due to the fears of their child having a meltdown, being picked on or becoming overwhelmed. Our AIM2Gather program encompasses a variety of family events throughout the year. At these events we focus on families being included in social adventures while networking and connecting with others who are on the same journey. Our AIM events are always a "judgement free zone". We want families to realize they are not alone. AIM2Inform- Support, resources and education are some of our main areas of focus at AIM. With our AIM2Inform initiative we will provide conferences for parents, care givers and educators covering a wide array of topics around caring for an individual with autism. We will partner with local clinics and schools to bring quarterly conferences to the NWA area.
