Mission Statement
APIAVote was founded in 2007 with a vision to increase civic participation among AAPIs. As a national, nonpartisan organization, APIAVote’s mission is to work with local and state community based organizations (CBOs) to mobilize AAPIs in electoral and civic engagement. APIAVote provides year-around integrated voter engagement and electoral training across the country.
About This Cause
APIAVote is the only national, nonpartisan organization whose mission is to mobilize all Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in electoral and civic engagement. APIAVote is the national distributor of in-language civic resources to the AAPI community. In partnership with its network of local partners, APIAVote creates micro-targeted resources to meet the specific needs of the AAPI community who are 70% immigrant and are of over 50 ethnicities and speak 100 languages and dialects. APIAVote envisions a world that is inclusive, fair, and collaborative, and where Asian Americans and Pacific Islander communities are self-determined, empowered, and engaged.
