Building apartment communities for adults with developmental disabilities, to empower them to live self-determined lives and to be engaged in their community.
About This Cause
Sheltering Tree is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, dedicated to serving and empowering persons with developmental disabilities, through consumer-directed, supportive, and safe housing communities. Currently 2 locations serve 34 individuals with disabilities. A third site is in process that will provide apartment housing for additional 48 individuals. Plans are in process for a fourth site in 3-5 years.
