Catholic Charities Worcester County is committed to strengthening families and to serving individuals in need, regardless of racial, ethnic, cultural, or religious origins, ability to pay, or mental, physical, or developmental challenges. We believe that every person has the right to life, housing, food, shelter, clothing, and health care, and that all should be enabled to participate in the decisions that vitally affect them. Founded in 1951 by the Most Reverend John J. Wright, the first Bishop of Worcester, Catholic Charities Worcester County’s mission was to establish a caring network in Worcester County. Today, we provide over 20 programs and services across 10 locations, benefiting more than 60 cities and towns.

About This Cause

Catholic Charities Worcester County is a 501(c)(3) social service that is dedicated to upholding the fundamental human rights of every individual. Our comprehensive range of programs include emergency stabilization programs, immigration legal services, substance use recovery, senior employment programs, day programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, a family shelter, parent aide programs, and more. Our goal is to provide holistic support that addresses the root causes of socioeconomic insecurity and empowers individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency.
