Boston Review provides a public space, with no barriers to access, for the discussion of ideas and culture, from a range of voices and views, to model a flourishing democracy.
About This Cause
A flourishing democracy depends on engaged public discussion of ideas that matter. Boston Review—independent and nonprofit—provides a space for that discussion in print and on the web, and at public events, with a range that extends from politics, economics, race and gender inequality to labor movements, philosophy, science, and the exploration of human experience in great fiction and poetry. Supported mainly by annual members, tax-deductible donations, and foundational grants, Boston Review also appears in print four times each year. Quarterly issues, which also provide financial support the publication's operations, are purchased through our website or through bookstores and digital newsstands.
