The Jewish Nursing Home of Western MA is a non-profit subsidiary organization of JGS Lifecare, Inc. JGS LIfecare is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the physical, spiritual and emotional health of individuals and families of all faiths by providing a comprehensive range of health, education and social services guided by Jewish traditions and values.
About This Cause
For over 110 years The Jewish Nursing Home of Western MA dba The Leavitt Family Jewish Home, has been dedicated to offering exceptional nursing care delivered with skill, compassion and respect through the dedicated efforts of our specially trained staff members. People of all faiths put their trust in us. Our mission is to provide personalized care in a "home-like" setting. Situated o a 23 acre campus of care nestled against woodlands in the town of Longmeadow, people fondly refer to us as "the Home". We provide 24/7 long-term skilled nursing care including cognitive and memory impairment care. We have full service rehabilitation therapies, palliative and hospice care as well as certified music therapy. We offer personal care and assistance with activities of daily living. Medication management as well as access to an on-site physician, nurse practitioner, registered dietitian and social workers are provided. The Jewish Nursing Home of Western MA is a part of the JGS Lifecare family of senior services, which includes: Genesis Independent Housing, Spectrum Home Health Care, Spectrum Hospice Care (including the Frances B. Cohen Palliative Care Program), Wernick Adult Day Health Care, Ruth’s House Assisted Living (including traditional and secure memory care neighborhoods), Sosin Center for Rehabilitation, Northeast Rehab Associates, Inc., and The Leavitt Family Jewish Home. This continuum of care offers the benefits of a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) or life plan community, but without the hefty buy-in or entrance fees. Families take great comfort knowing that once they or their loved one enter the JGS Lifecare family of services, it is easy to access or seamlessly transition to each complimentary service, as their health care needs change.
