About This Cause

The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) is the Commonwealth’s leading breast cancer non-profit organization and the only organization with the mission to prevent environmental causes of breast cancer through community education, research advocacy, and public policy change. Established in 1991, the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition has been instrumental in numerous advances locally and nationwide beginning with advocacy efforts in 1991 which led Massachusetts to be the first state in the nation to officially recognize breast cancer as an epidemic. Today, the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition continues to be the state's leading breast cancer organization. Current campaigns include projects to bring preventative environmental health information to medical professionals, expanding community education efforts with a new MBCC Research Updates video series, and ongoing lectures, presentations, and conferences across the state.
