Mission Statement
Self Esteem Boston, founded in 1993, is a private, non-profit organization, which provides specialized self-esteem programs for at-risk women in Massachusetts by delivering onsite programs that build self-esteem and essential life skills. We help program participants develop critical life skills--from developing an authentic sense of self worth to understanding the meaning of commitment and accountability in work and family life--which will enable them overcome addiction and become socially and economically successful
About This Cause
Self Esteem Boston’s mission is to change people's lives from the inside out by raising their self-esteem. And by raising their self-esteem, it is our goal that people will live more consciously, and become self-accepting, self-assertive, live with purpose, responsibility and integrity. We do this by delivering self-esteem educational programs in group-settings which 1) Defines what self-esteem is, 2) Educates people on why self-esteem matters, and teach people how to build self-esteem through essential skill development, and 3) support and education toward making healthy life choices. Self Esteem Boston is a Community Service Training Provider, with 100% of the proceeds of our programs subsidizing free programs for women in shelters and transitional programs in the Boston Region and throughout Massachusetts. 1) Provider Training: We now have an online training center for human service clients and individuals. You can underwrite free agency access to our online learning center for another community agency program to use. The proceeds support our direct client service programs. Go to www.selfesteemboston.com 2) Direct Client Services: We seek funding for critical recovery support services for women who are in trauma, at 17 substance abuse treatment centers and transitional residential recovery programs. The women we serve are in these programs because they lack coping skills, are in trauma, and addicted to drugs and alcohol. Our goal is to help the women build resiliency skills, and maintain their health and well-being. --
