About This Cause
Portland Youth Football and Cheering League, Inc. is a community based charitable, volunteer organization based in Portland, Maine charged with encouraging leadership and building character. We currently have four flag football teams for players in K-3, three youth tackle football teams for players in grades 2-3, three tackle football teams for players in grades 4-6, and two Middle School tackle football teams for kids in grades 7-8. All of our teams offer the opportunity to build a superior, fundamental football foundation. Additionally, we offer a Cheering program for grades 1-8. Our ultimate goal is to safely provide our players with the football skills, fundamentals, and experiences to help them compete successfully and secure position placement on a local high school football team. Our youth programs are one of the many member coastal community Maine Youth Football Leagues reaching from Berwick to Greater Portland. We're always seeking Portland youth passionately interested in developing, increasing, and enhancing their football skills as they progress through school. We play our games every weekend (Saturday or Sunday) in the fall at Fitzpatrick Stadium and Deering Memorial Field, the finest high school football stadiums in the state.
