Mission Statement
The Sebastian Chamber Players (“the Sebastians”) is a New York City-based gathering of outstanding musicians whose mission is to bring baroque music to life, through performances at the highest artistic level for as broad an audience as possible.
About This Cause
The Sebastian Chamber Players (“the Sebastians”) is a gathering of outstanding musicians whose purposes are: 1. To make a cultural and social contribution by enriching and expanding audience’s lives through the beauty of music. 2. To present performances of the highest artistic level to as broad an audience as possible. 3. To foster, nurture, develop, and educate the next generation of musicians to ensure the continued enrichment of our society through classical music. The ensemble present an annual season of ticketed and free concerts of baroque music in New York and around the tristate area, in addition to performances with ensembles and on concert series across the country. For over eight years, the Sebastians have presented critically-lauded and audience-beloved performances of baroque treasures. Ticket sales cover about 25% of the Sebastians operating expenses and your donations go directly towards helping us present more top-quality concerts at affordable prices, with free tickets for students, local organizations, and those without means to attend a classical concert otherwise.
