About This Cause
Taking the fear out of food allergies -- The Anaphylaxis and Food Allergy Association of Minnesota (AFAA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to educate, advocate, and to support those with food allergies. AFAA's accomplishments include universal epinephrine availability in MN ambulances; immediate access to epinephrine for allergic students in schools; amino acid medical insurance coverage; changes in FDA allergen policy; stock epinephrine access for camps, colleges, universities, and daycares; training for educators, medical professionals, food service professionals; year-round allergen-free activities for children and families; and widespread distribution of materials; and extensive educational outreach efforts.
