About This Cause
Family Centers endeavors to achieve our mission of empowering children, adults, families and communities to realize their potential, through a continuum of health, education and human services. By providing the necessary tools and guidance, Family Centers breaks down barriers to success and empowers members of our community to achieve healthy, productive and quantifiable change. Our team of over 270 professionals and 2,800 volunteers deliver services that focus on the well-being of children, teens, adults and seniors, using a multi-service approach to deal with personal crises, improve psychological well-being and strengthen interpersonal relationships. Throughout our high quality health, education and human service programs, we have been able to reach more than 22,500 men, women and children this past year through our three Centers of Excellence: Bright Beginnings provides children with the skills they need to succeed in the classroom, as well as offers parent coaching and workshops, home daycare provider consultation and training, and school based health services. Families in Crisis includes comprehensive behavioral health therapy which offers assessment, treatment, support and referral services that help families in emotional crisis work toward a successful resolution. Fostering Independence offers vocational and career training, housing resources and placement for those with prolonged mental illness, and counseling and self-sufficiency programs to underserved individuals and families.
