Mission Statement
Litchfield Hills Rowing Club is a 501(c)(3) organization, serving our community with the sport of rowing. We are an independent US Rowing Club. Youth from Wamogo and Litchfield High Schools can earn Varsity letters, but our club welcomes all youth and adults who wish to pursue the sport of rowing in all of Litchfield County and our surrounding communities.
About This Cause
Litchfield Hills Rowing Club is one of the oldest rowing clubs in the state of Connecticut. Our members include youth (age 12 and up) and adults (our oldest member is 82). One of our primary goals is to keep rowing affordable for everyone and we are proud to offer the lowest-cost club rowing experience in Connecticut. We serve our community from a boathouse on Bantam Lake and a nearby indoor Training Center. LHRC members are dedicated to a sport that requires teamwork, rewards discipline and hard work and offers a lifetime of health and fitness, all while enjoying the outdoors and the beauty of Bantam Lake as part of an elite-level rowing experience for everyone in the County – and beyond.
