Mission Statement
The Friends of the Portland Library is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that raises money to support the Portland Library and to provide programs of interest to the community.
About This Cause
Donations to Friends of the Portland Library support the following: - DVD purchases - Museum Pass Program - Children, Teen & Adult Summer Reading Programs - Children's special events and program - Purchase of software - Purchase of books for holiday gift baskets given to families served by the Portland Food Bank - Programs for the community featuring speakers, musical groups and authors - Books for Babies program - Artist Receptions - Ongoing book sales plus the Fall Book Sale - Annual newsletter sent to all Portland residents
