About This Cause
Clean Grid Alliance(CGA, formerly known as Wind on the Wires (WOW) works to advance renewable energy in the Midwest across a 9 state footprint. CGA does this by leveraging our technical technical/transmission work at the state and regional levels, legislative and public policy advocacy, intervention in state regulatory proceedings; and building support through education and outreach to key decision-makers, and proactive communications outreach to the public, to expand markets. Since 2001, WOW has served as the technical “go to” organization on wind (and increasingly solar) and transmission and supporting colleague NGOs working on a transition to a clean energy future. WOW members include NGOs, wind and solar developers, wind turbine manufacturers and businesses that supply goods and services to the wind and solar industries.
