The Fort Greene Park Conservancy provides programming, maintenance, and advocacy to preserve and nourish Fort Greene Park as a community resource and public space for all New Yorkers for generations to come.

Fort Greene Park is a public space stewarded by the community to celebrate and sustain the diverse culture of Fort Greene, its rich history, and the park's natural assets. Values The Fort Greene Park Conservancy values: COMMUNITY, the connections, memories, and traditions we make and sustain among neighbors and friends CELEBRATION, our shared joy, recreation, uninhibited self-expression, and living cultures REFUGE, in the healing power of nature, beauty, wellness activity and solitude CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, actions that uphold our democracy, taken today and through history by patriots, including the Prison Ship Martyrs BELONGING, the experience of acceptance every person should feel in public space, regardless of their financial resources, race, ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, age, or abilities EQUITY, the structural access to resources or people that can contribute to the experience of belonging COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY, the communal work that demonstrates our appreciation and respect for each other and the park
