Here in Hawaii, nearly 600,000 people are living with prediabetes or diabetes, affecting 1 in 3 individuals: over 154,000 people with diabetes and an additional 442,000 with prediabetes. Diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death in Hawaii and nationwide.
With your support of the American Diabetes Association, we can continue to invest in innovative diabetes research, advocate for those being discriminated against because they have diabetes, and educate our community about the importance of diabetes prevention and management.
