About This Cause
The SSMAC is a non-profit organization honoring the military in a variety of ways since 1919.The SSMAC Club is dedicated to providing a safe and affordable hotel accommodations for Members of our Armed Forces, Veterans, Retiree, Allies, and their families. As you can imagine, operating a hotel in Manhattan is expensive and the revenue from our room rentals covers less than half of our expenses. The SSMAC receives no city, state, or federal funding. We rely on the donations we receive to continue our mission of “Serving Those Who Have Served Our Country”, the club has been funded exclusively through patriotic and individual organizations, but we are so much more than a hotel. Conveniently located in midtown Manhattan, our guests can find a warm and comforting place where they can connect with family using computers in the lounge area or via Wi-Fi Internet access, They can also relax in one of the lounges and canteen area where we serve coffee and bagels each morning, we are so much more than a hotel. The SSMAC holds many events each year to support the welfare of our service men and women. Thanksgiving Dinner, Veteran Stand-Down Program, Complimentary Ticket Program, Care Package Program, and our MIA POW Ceremony, just to mention a few. In order for us to keep providing affordable accommodations to our military personnel and their families we need your help. We are a small hotel compose of 29 rooms and 63 beds. Our prices range from $65 - $75 dollars a night. The SSMAC has been providing a home away from home to many soldiers and there family for 100 year.
