Mission Statement
SIECUS advances sex education through advocacy, policy and coalition building. SIECUS envisions an equitable nation where all people receive sex education, are affirmed in their identities, and have power to make decisions about their own health, pleasure, and wholeness. SIECUS asserts that sex education is a powerful vehicle for social change. We view sexuality as a fundamental part of being human, one worthy of dignity and respect. SIECUS works to create a world that ensures social justice inclusive of sexual and reproductive rights.
About This Cause
SIECUS has been advancing sex ed for social change since 1964. SIECUS envisions an equitable nation where all people receive comprehensive sexuality education and quality sexual and reproductive health services affirming their identities, thereby allowing them to access and enjoy sexual and reproductive freedom, as they define it for themselves. Our core areas of work include: policy and advocacy, education and resource development, and strategic communications.
