Mission Statement
The Kingsbridge Heights Community Center provides quality educational and social services that build on the strengths of our diverse Bronx community to help people of all ages thrive, including abuse survivors and those with developmental disabilities.
About This Cause
Serving roughly 4,500 residents a year at multiple sites, our programs span three major areas: 1.) Early Childhood Services - Early Head Start; Head Start; and the Family Child Care Network; 2.) Youth Services - Teen Center, featuring our Tween Program for middle school youth; College Directions for high school participants; Summer Day Camp; After School; and Special Needs for developmentally disabled young people diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, or a combination of disabilities (ages 5 years old to early 30s); and 3.) Adult & Family Services - Changing Futures, treating children with trauma and works to prevent neglect and abuse; ESOL/Civics, with English language training for adults; and wellness and recreation activities for seniors. Our Nutrition and Garden program is integrated across all programs, impacting the health and well-being of all participants.
