Mission Statement

Covenant House Georgia is a shelter for homeless, runaway, and trafficked youth in the Metro-Atlanta area.

About This Cause

In 2000, Covenant House Georgia opened its doors to provide shelter and services to Atlanta’s homeless and runaway youth. More than 15,000 youth have received support from CHGA since 2000. Currently, more than 1,300 homeless and at-risk youth are served every year. The waiting list, at times, is dishearteningly long. Covenant House Georgia is a full partner of Covenant House International, the largest privately funded agency in the United States providing shelter and services to homeless and at-risk youth. A variety of services assist our youth to self-sufficiency. The guiding principle is unconditional love and a door that’s open 24/7. We show everyone trust; you would expect the same. Covenant House Georgia is a 46-bed crisis shelter where youth are given the opportunity to achieve stability, work with a case manager and develop a plan for the future. Additionally, two independent living programs are offered, a 16-bed apartment-based program and a 24-bed program onsite called Rights of Passage. These programs are designed to help our youth learn to live independently. All services are free of charge. No youth who comes to our door is ever turned away without loving help. We are never too full to welcome them in, and we are never too busy to talk.
