Mission Statement
The GRACE Foundation is committed to support, educate and enhance the quality of life for children/adults and their families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder.
About This Cause
The GRACE Foundation is committed to support, educate, empower and enhance the quality of life for children/teens/young adults and their families impacted by autism spectrum disorder. The GRACE Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Staten Island that was established in 2000 to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD). As the number of people diagnosed with Autism continues to grow, the need for programs and services continues to increase at an alarming pace. Today the rate of newly diagnosed children is 1 in 36. In addition, as individuals with ASD age, more specialized services are required to address the changing needs of the individual and their families. Currently GRACE provides programs for over three hundred participants (ages five to adult) and growing. At GRACE, our programs consist of Day Habilitation without Walls, Site-Based Respite, In-Home, Com Hab and Supported Employment. The ultimate goals are to enable individuals with ASD to lead independent and productive lives. We empower all individuals with all abilities and create opportunities that empower, build self-esteem, foster friendships and create a haven for all individuals that face the daily challenges of being marginalized and not celebrated and respected. Located on the grounds of 460 Brielle, surrounded by the greenbelt, GRACE is a boutique setting that offers unique opportunities such as broadcast opportunities with our web series “GRACE 10314” and “Dan on the Street.”
