Educational Alliance brings together and partners with diverse communities in Lower Manhattan, offering individuals and families high-quality, multi-generational programs and services that enhance their well-being and socioeconomic opportunities.
About This Cause
Educational Alliance has been helping people realize the American Dream for over 128 years. Today, we provide services to 50,000 New Yorkers annually at 17 locations in Lower Manhattan. Feelings of optimism and hope start at Educational Alliance. Each year, we serve over 50,000 individuals on the Lower East Side and East Village with programming that inspires them to reach their full potential. At Educational Alliance, we empower members of our community by providing them with tools that are essential ingredients for success. With these tools, each member of our community is able to build the bright future that they envision for themselves, for their families, and for their neighborhood. We start young children on the path to educational achievement with early childhood programming; we continue to support children throughout their teen years with programs that assist them on the path towards college; we help their parents with employment services and educational opportunities; we help those suffering from addiction achieve and maintain sobriety; we help our older adults keep their independence, while simultaneously providing them with a stable, fulfilling community.
