Mission Statement
Since 1906, Pace University has produced thinking professionals by providing high-quality education for the professions with a firm base in liberal learning amid the advantages of the New York Metropolitan Area.
About This Cause
Pace University plays an essential role in the realization of individual dreams of achievement, as voiced in the motto: Opportunitas. The University provides a diverse population of students with opportunities and access to overcome financial, systemic, and cultural obstacles in their pursuit of higher education and rewarding careers. Pace has always been a beacon for historically underrepresented and first-generation college students as they seek a brighter future. Currently, the University enrolls more than 13,000 diverse individuals, including first-generation, international, and non-traditional students. A majority of Pace’s student body identify as BIPOC, close to 30% of Pace students are from low-income families eligible for Pell grants, and close to 40% identify as the first in their family to go to college. Pace is ranked first in the nation among four-year private institutions for upward economic mobility. Pace supports a population of students whose previous academic experience and other socioeconomic conditions may not otherwise have enabled admission to a four-year baccalaureate degree program, helping them achieve their potential for success. Pace has an extraordinary record of success in serving these vulnerable populations and changing the trajectory of their lives. Through the convergence of strong academics, experiential learning, and customized plans we empower our students and positively impact our communities. Across our undergraduate and graduate programs, we have exceptional job placement rates, and we help students achieve those successes through our unique approach and offerings.
