Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Our vision is for all youth to achieve their full potential.
About This Cause
Established in Upstate New York in 1975, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks helps children in Warren, Washington and northern Saratoga counties reach their full potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships. We offer both community based mentoring programs with adult volunteers, and a school based program with high school student volunteers helping elementary school students. Both programs are supported by professional program specialists who interact with the mentors and children to provide them with activities that foster good communication, build self-confidence and share skills that develop lifelong, positive relationships.
