Mission Statement
To provide new and quality used clothing to low-income or in crisis school-age children, free of charge.
About This Cause
Our Founders had a vision to provide school children with new and quality used clothing in a fun shopping environment and they wanted all of the clothing to be free of charge. The vision at Clothes To Kids is that every child in need of clothing will "shop" in our stores and obtain the clothes they need to attend school with dignity and pride, ready to learn. More than half of all students in both Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties Schools are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. Many of these families are struggling to pay rent and buy food, leaving no money left for school clothing. Our regular visits with school social workers, counselors and teachers provide us with this feedback: “When kids don't have proper clothing for school, they are less likely to participate in classroom discussions and activities.” It’s hard to fit in, when your clothes don't fit!
