Mission Statement
The Faith-Based, Christian Ministry, known as the Rescue Mission, in Utica, NY, began in 1980, reaching out to the poor and needy of our community (and overall, the Mohawk Valley). The Rescue Mission assists individuals to overcome hunger, homelessness, addictions (now, even a medically monitored withdrawal service), mental illness, disabilities, a Representative Payee Program for the disabled to manage their finances - ALL through a life centered around and ON Jesus Christ.

Rescue Mission's MISSION STATEMENT: "The Rescue Mission of Utica is a Christian ministry unconditionally endeavoring to access and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people coming for assistance." Throughout the years, the Mission has grown so much and we've been blessed, along with the people we serve who came to us, a lot of them who are employed here with us now! It's amazing what God can do, and he's done SO much for us and our residents & community - as a whole. An overall list of our programs include: Emergency Shelter: Providing SAFE lodging, meals, clothes, counseling & much more! Addictions Crisis Center (ACC): A medically monitored withdrawal service Residential Aftercare Program, a 6-9 month program for men Enriched Living Center: A residential program for adults with mental illness. Morris Learning Center: Equips participants with employment skills. Spiritual Life Program: Helps our residents grow in the Christian Faith. Representative Payee Program: Helping disabled people manage their finances Community Service Outreach: Provides food boxes, clothes & more Rescue Mission Auxiliary: A group acting as liaisons to local churches in our community.
