Mission Statement
Our mission is to nurture health, dignity and independent living among people who need meals delivered to their homes.
About This Cause
We are a nonprofit senior nutrition program that has served the homebound, elderly and frail of the greater Corning area since 1966. Corning Meals on Wheels delivers meals to residents aged 60 years or older who are not able to safely prepare meals for themselves and don't have help from family or friends. Trained volunteers carry out most phases our operation which include hot and cold meal preparation, packaging and delivery. We have a paid staff of only 3.5 FTEs. We currently prepare & deliver meals for ~125 older adults each weekday.
