About This Cause
Home Roots Foundation is a US and Haiti based grassroots organization working to financially support existing schools in Haiti by paying for tuition, school supplies, uniforms, and tutoring. On Thursdays and Saturdays, we hold the Speak English Together Club (SET-Club), which is an informal school that teaches youth English for free. In 2023 we held the first English summer camp. We initiated a women's economic empowerment program in response to many women expressing their desire to be independent. Women are provided grants and access to financing to start or expand microenterprises. For rural women, we developed an agricultural project and help access capital through village savings and loans associations.
