Mission Statement
Cracked Pots/ReClaim It is a nonprofit devoted to reducing waste and promoting creative re-use in our community. Creative reuse, through reclaiming and re-imagining, is at the heart of all we do.
About This Cause
Cracked Pots is a Portland, Oregon environmental and arts non-profit supporting waste reduction through creative reuse. We sponsor art shows featuring art made from rescued/reused materials, and you can also shop at our retail store, ReClaim It. We rescue items directly from our local 'dump' that can still be used or upcycled into a new item. Our large group of volunteers clean/repair/reimagine slightly worn and unwanted items to give them another life. We offer training to volunteers who want to learn the handy skills needed to make a worn item useful again. Another unique program is our GLEAN Artist Residency Program where five local artists rescue items from the city's transfer station (dump) to create gallery-worthy art.
