Mission Statement
A small nonprofit with a Big Goal: to change the world. We work on environmental sustainability and human justice in the US and abroad. We offer resource that challenge us, experiences that change us, and a community that gives us hope.
About This Cause
NCP was formed in 2003, and now has a network of over 11,000 in the USA and partners in eight countries. In the US, we maintain Sustainable Living Centers in VA and VT which embody our principles and invite visitors and interns. We do 150 or so presentations per year in schools, colleges and congregations across the country on themes of living more responsibly with planet and people. Through our partners abroad (DR Congo, South Sudan, Rwanda, Myanmar, Nepal, Dom Republic, Ecuador, Malawi)we support girls' education, women's empowerment and reforestation. We ally with native communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon, the Arctic (Gwich'in) and NM (Dineh).
