Mission Statement
Propel Schools, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a network of public charter schools transforming lives, communities, and the public school experience throughout Allegheny County. Our mission is to catalyze the transformation of public education so that all children have access to high-performing public schools, regardless of their zip code. Propel has become one of the largest, fastest-expanding set of charter schools in the state, with the highest levels of student achievement among Pennsylvania public school districts serving high poverty areas. Propel is currently serving over 4,000 students at 13 Allegheny County locations.
About This Cause
From the first day a scholar enrolls in Propel Schools their future, and that of their family changes. They learn to reach for the stars, to dream, and how to turn those dreams into reality. College and career are now within reach. Your gift to the Propel Schools Foundation makes these dreams possible. You provide access to programs in math, science, reading, art, robotics, and other programs that prepare each scholar for success in life, during and after they graduate from Propel Schools. Federal and State dollars only cover the cost of our most basic expenses. Thanks to donors like you, Propel Schools provides much more than the basic necessities.
