Mission Statement
The Willamette Chapter of The American Council of the Blind of Oregon (ACBO) advocates for equal and accessible educational, employment, social and cultural success for blind and low vision Oregonians. Funds raised will help us achieve these goals through grants and services.
About This Cause
The American Council of the Blind of Oregon - Willamette Chapter is a non-profit consumer organization dedicated to advancing the economic and social interests of the blind and visually impaired in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. We are also an affiliate of the American Council of the Blind. ACB of Oregon Willamette Chapter was founded in 1954 along with the state organization. We offer scholarships to full time college students, grants for adaptive equipment to students, grants to purchase adaptive equipment to help blind or visually impaired to compete in their fields of employment and grants to help with special needs of our senior citizens who are visually impaired to make life a little easier. Education and help adapting to the world is our continuing goal.
