Mission Statement
Voto Latino is a nonpartisan organization that empowers Latino Millennials to claim a better future for themselves and their community. United by the belief that Latino issues are American issues and American issues are Latino issues, Voto Latino is dedicated to bringing new and diverse voices to develop leaders by engaging youth, media, technology and celebrities to promote positive change.
About This Cause
All the work that we focus on is part of a pipeline meant to serve and empower our community. That pipeline is made up of three parts: civic engagement, issue advocacy, and leadership development. Here’s what each looks like: Issue Advocacy Via major initiatives like UnitedWeWin we provide young Latinos ways to advocate on behalf of issues that are important to them, whether it’s race relations or health. Leadership Development Through leadership programs such as the Power Summit Conference and the VL Innovators Challenge, we connect young Latinos with thought leaders, elected officials, and industry experts to network and provide the tools they need to become change makers. Civic Engagement Through voter registration campaigns, strategic partnerships, get-out-the-vote initiatives, and more, we encourage our audience to make their voices heard in local and national elections.
