Mission Statement
Shirdi Sai Parivaar (SSP) is a volunteer based non-profit, spiritual and charity organization based in Milpitas, California, U.S.A. The organization is based on the teachings and philosophy of Shirdi Sai Baba, a great saint from India. Sai Baba taught the unity of all religions, universality of spirit in all existence and compassion for all living beings. Shirdi Sai Baba’s main attraction has been His embodiment of dispassion, purity, and simplicity. At SSP, our mission is to foster community well-being by providing compassionate support and essential services to those in need. We are dedicated to alleviating hunger, promoting health, and enhancing the quality of life for all individuals, especially the underprivileged and senior citizens. Through our charitable initiatives and community programs, we strive to create a nurturing environment that empowers individuals and strengthens our community bonds. SSP’s goal is to expand its current activities to a larger scale and identify other charitable and community based activities that will benefit the local community here in the bay area and potentially in India too. SSP is a non-profit organization and therefore all donations are tax deductible to the extent permissible by IRS.

Shirdi Sai Baba’s main attraction has been His embodiment of dispassion, purity, and simplicity. ************************** What we do? ************************** SSP (Shirdi Sai Parivaar) is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to uplifting our community through a wide range of charitable activities and services. We focus on alleviating hunger by providing weekly donations of sandwiches and non-perishable food to various shelters, contributing over 3,500 pounds of food annually. Our initiatives also include donations of blankets, toys, and school supplies for underprivileged children, as well as financial assistance for high school students to support their educational aspirations. In addition to our charitable efforts, we offer free community services that prioritize health and wellness, including health fairs, vaccination drives, and essential medical services. Our programs also cater to seniors, providing a supportive space that fosters social engagement and enhances their quality of life. With a strong emphasis on volunteer involvement, we facilitate numerous opportunities for individuals to contribute to their community, including care package initiatives by special needs children and disaster relief efforts. Our mission is to cultivate a compassionate environment that empowers those in need and strengthens the bonds within our diverse communities. SSP (Shirdi Sai Parivaar) Overview: At SSP, we are committed to fostering community through spiritual engagement, charitable programs, and essential services. We invite all Shirdi Sai Baba devotees to participate in our weekly prayer meetings held on Thursdays from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Shirdi Sai Center, located at 1221 California Circle, Milpitas, CA 95035. Our services includes Shirdi Sai Bhajans and Shej Arati, offering a chance for devotees to feel Baba's presence and share His teachings. Interested individuals can host a Satsang by reaching out to us at saibandhu@shirdisaiparivaar.org. ************************** Shirdi Sai Parivaar Activities ************************** Conducting prayer meetings that facilitate the congregation of devotees and sharing of personal experiences. Promoting peace and harmony through the teachings of Sai Baba. Celebrating significant events to honor Sai Baba’s philosophy and life. Encouraging the spread of love and unity among devotees. Instilling Sai Baba's values in children through music, hymns, and creative activities. Organizing charitable events to benefit the local community. Charitable Programs: Providing financial support for visually challenged and underprivileged high school students. Distributing sandwiches and preparing meals for local homeless shelters. Partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank to donate 1,000-1,500 lbs of non-perishable food to the hungry in the Bay Area. Collecting blankets, toys, and school backpacks for underprivileged children (approximately 150-200 items). Fundraising for disaster relief efforts nationally and internationally. Offering monetary support to other nonprofit organizations. Community Services: Organizing blood drives, bone marrow drives, and flu vaccination clinics. Providing educational support through language classes, dance classes, and activities for children. Offering free services including notary, dental check-ups, nutritional consultations, and Kundalini yoga. Leading local beautification projects in Milpitas. Upcoming Events: Ramnavami, SSP Anniversary, Gurupoornima, Mahasamadhi, and various cultural celebrations. Daily Aratis and special prayers, including the Sai Satyavrata puja and Shri Sai Satcharita Parayan. Our Vision: SSP aims to expand its programs and enhance its charitable impact to better serve both the local Bay Area community and potentially reach into India. As a registered nonprofit, all donations are tax-deductible as permitted by the IRS.
