About This Cause
Park Academy is a truly unique school, as it is the only school in Oregon that offers an articulated elementary through high school curriculum designed specifically for students with dyslexia and other language related learning disabilities. Our mission is to empower students with diverse learning challenges to reach their highest potential of giftedness, while excelling academically and becoming responsible citizens and community leaders. At Park Academy, we firmly believe that a learning difference does not define a child. Park Academy is filling a critical void that exists within the traditional education system. By providing to students struggling with dyslexia the specialized instruction they need, we aim to change the trajectory of their lives by raising their intellectual understanding to a higher standard, rather than bringing the curriculum down to their current academic level. Our highly trained staff provide a safe learning environment for students, helping them to discover their potential, embrace their differences, and thrive in and out of school.
