Mission Statement
The Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) is an independent non-profit organization that works to foster an increased understanding among Americans about Palestine and the Palestinians by providing journalists with quick access to high-quality information and expert sources.
About This Cause
The IMEU works to foster more accurate, balanced, and nuanced media coverage of Palestine and the Palestinians by providing mainstream U.S. journalists with quick access to high-quality information, perspectives, and resources. Only through increased understanding of the peoples of the Middle East — their history, struggles, rights, and aspirations — can a just and lasting peace be achieved, which is in the interest of all Americans and all peoples of the region.
