About This Cause
Walking Shadow Theatre Company believes the human soul is a disturbing and beautiful place. We create engaging and memorable experiences that promote an exchange of ideas inspired by the stories we tell. Through careful research and bold artistic expression we develop high-quality theatre that illuminates the depths and heights of human capacity. We are dedicated to developing the talents of our artists, nurturing audience commitment to the arts, facilitating community dialogue, and examining local culture in a global context. We believe that theatre is a powerful tool for asking open-ended questions about human experience and society, and that artistic success for us means staging high-quality plays that are invigorating, entertaining, intelligent, and relevant. Our artistic aims with each production are to: 1) Create a compelling theatrical work that is fun to watch and perform. 2) Explore the play’s themes by focusing on relatable and honest characters. 3) Find opportunities to discuss our community’s reaction to those themes.
