About This Cause
The Cancer Services of New Mexico Foundation raises and invests funds to support Cancer Services of New Mexico. Cancer Services of New Mexico is a grass-roots, volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that provides services to reduce cancer suffering for New Mexico’s families. We are the only non-profit organization that looks broadly at addressing gaps in cancer-related services, while maintaining a 100% focus on New Mexico. Programs are developed and led by over a hundred volunteers, supported by two part-time program managers and one part-time program coordinator. We are the largest independent cancer services organization in our state, serving over 1,200 New Mexicans coping with cancer each year through programs like our nationally recognized Family Cancer Retreat, our Legal, Insurance & Paperwork Assistance (LIPA) Program, our Family Cancer Resource Bag Program and our Caregiver Support Program. With no physical office and minimal administrative costs we are able to direct over 95% of funds raised directly to program services.
