Mission Statement
To provide talented youth in Haiti with educational opportunities consisting of scholarships and preparatory programing designed to lead their transition from poverty to sustainable growth and prosperity.
About This Cause
Le Flambeau Foundation assists Haiti via Intellectual Infrastructure Development – the provision of a solid education foundation for the brightest youth and future leaders of Haiti. Through the efforts of Le Flambeau Foundation, youth living in Haiti receive access to preparatory English learning programming and scholarships; designed to prepare talented youth in Haiti for sustainable self-sufficiency career opportunities, in Haiti. The focus is on priority economic engines of Haiti - AGRICULTURE, TECHNOLOGY, BUSINESS (to include entrepreneurship). Le Flambeau Foundation’s accomplishments include the awarding of four full U.S. college scholarships to students in Haiti (all graduated including one from Harvard), achievements with THE SPARK of Le Flambeau English language learning program, summer English based preparatory sessions in Cap-Haitian Haiti, scholarships to students in Haiti, and the past Le Flambeau Computer Laptop Clubs featuring Dell computers. An estimated 1500+ young people have been impacted by the activities of Le Flambeau Foundation. Le Flambeau Foundation is a Wisconsin incorporated 501(c)3 non-profit entity, founded in 2007.
