Mission Statement
Our mission is to bring together community leaders to exchange ideas, build relationships, and take action to create positive, sustainable change in Highlands and beyond. We are committed to promoting ethical practices, embracing diversity and inclusion, serving the underserved, and fostering a culture of service above self.
About This Cause
Rotary International has more than 1.2 million members in over 35,000 clubs located in more than 200 countries and regions. Rotary International's work centers around six areas of focus: Promoting peace Fighting disease Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene Saving mothers and children Supporting education Growing local economies Mountaintop Rotary is a club in the town of Highlands, NC. A rural county in Western NC. We sponsor two major fundraisers a year in order to put resources back into our community and in the World. For example, last we we raised funds to build beds for Ukrainian refugees as well as donate over a thousand coats to the service workers in our county. With a club of 65 members, and growing, we sponsor many hands on service projects; cutting and delivering wood for those without heat sources, funding the local Food Pantry, and sponsoring two major Art Shows a year to raise funds. We are currently actively engaged in disaster Relief efforts from Hurricane Helene which devastated our area of the western NC mountains.
